Academic Research
Research at the School of Management: A Five-Year Overview
In recent years, the School of Management has been dedicated to the comprehensive enhancement of its research quality and impact. Central to this mission is our commitment to identifying and cultivating leading research talent. We guide our faculty to recognize and leverage the symbiotic relationship between teaching and research. Under the direction of the Academic Committee and the mentorship of our senior professors, the School actively promotes both national and international academic exchange. Faculty are strongly encouraged to participate in scholarly conferences, engage in continuous professional development, and conduct substantive fieldwork to expand their academic horizons and elevate their research capabilities. To further this goal, the School has systematically refined its frameworks for research incentives and evaluation. We have strengthened the preliminary research support mechanism for national-level grant applications and intensified our efforts to foster major national key projects and landmark, award-winning scholarship. These strategic initiatives are designed to accelerate the production of high-caliber, influential research, thereby solidifying the School's reputation as a center for academic excellence.
The School proudly hosts three Hubei Provincial Key Research Bases in Humanities and Social Sciences:
Hubei Provincial Research Center for Talent Development
Hubei Provincial Research Center for Business and Environmental Sustainability
Hubei Provincial Research Center for the Development and Resource Governance of the Chemical Industry
Over the past five years, our faculty have secured an annual average of five projects funded by the National Social Science Fund, the National Natural Science Fund, or the Ministry of Education. Additionally, they have led more than ten provincial and ministerial-level projects each year, with annual research funding averaging over 5 million RMB. The School's scholarly output includes an annual average of over 50 articles indexed in SCI, SSCI, CSSCI, or featured in the Replicated Journals of Renmin University of China, alongside the publication of more than four academic monographs per year. Notably, our research findings have frequently been commended and adopted by the leadership of the Hubei Provincial Government.
