Introduction to the School of Management

The School of Management at Wuhan Institute of Technology currently has 114 faculty and staff members, including 100 full-time teachers, 24 Professors, 51Associate Professors, and 71 holders of doctoral degrees. The faculty includes 1 Second-Class Professor, 7 Third-Class Professors, 2 selected for Hubei Province's New Century High-Level Talent Program, and 2 University-Level Teaching Masters. One enjoys the State Council Special Government Allowance, one enjoys the Hubei Province Special Allowance, two are "Chutian Scholars", and one has been awarded the title of Hubei Province's "Jingchu Hundred Outstanding Talents". The school also has 1 Top Talent, 1 Young Top-Notch Talent, and 2 Young Core Talents designated by the university.

The student body consists of approximately 1,600 undergraduate students and over 800 postgraduate students, with the postgraduate enrollment being the largest within the university.

The School encompasses three primary disciplines: Management Science and Engineering, Business Administration, and Public Administration. All three disciplines are authorized to confer master's degrees. The School also hosts one secondary doctoral program in Industrial Engineering, and three professional master's degree authorization points: Master of Business Administration (MBA), Master of Professional Accounting (MPAcc), and Master of Public Administration (MPA). Business Administration is a discipline under the Hubei "Chutian Scholars" Plan for appointing specially-invited professors, and Management Science and Engineering is a key construction discipline of Hubei Province.

The School offers 6 undergraduate programs: Information Management and Information Systems, E-Commerce, Big Data Management and Application, Business Administration, Accounting, and Public Administration. It also features two distinctive talent training programs: E+ Accounting and the ACCA Direction Class in Accounting. Among these, E-Commerce and Accounting are recognized as National First-Class Undergraduate Programs, while Public Administration is a Hubei Provincial First-Class Undergraduate Program.

The School boasts three Key Research Bases of Humanities and Social Sciences in Hubei Province: the Hubei Talent Development Research Center, the Enterprise and Environment Coordinated Development Research Center, and the Hubei Chemical Industry Development and Resource Governance Research Center.

Over the past five years, faculty members have presided over an average of 5 projects annually from sources such as the National Social Science Fund, the National Natural Science Foundation of China, and the Ministry of Education Humanities and Social Sciences Project. They undertake over 10 provincial/ministerial-level projects annually. The average annual research funding exceeds 6 million RMB. Faculty publish over 50 papers annually indexed or reprinted by SCI, SSCI, CSSCI, or the Renda Copying Materials. They publish an average of more than 4 academic monographs annually. Research findings have been frequently recognized and adopted by the primary leadership of the provincial government.
