This program direction is established based on our university’s national-level "E+ Talent Cultivation Model Reform Experimental Zone." It integrates the disciplines of English and Accounting to explore a cross-disciplinary and cross-school cultivation model. By equipping students with the core knowledge and skills of both fields, the program aims to cultivate internationally oriented, interdisciplinary accounting professionals who possess a solid foundation in English language and literature, cultural awareness, strong language proficiency, and effective cross-cultural communication skills. At the same time, they will acquire professional knowledge and competencies in accounting, management, and economics, reaching the professional competency level of a domestic accountant and essentially meeting the standards of an international accountant. Graduates will have a solid academic foundation, broad knowledge, strong professional skills, high adaptability, and comprehensive qualities, along with an international perspective and innovative spirit. They will be prepared to undertake accounting and financial management roles in multinational corporations, financial institutions, and medium to large enterprises.
The Accounting Department at Wuhan Institute of Technology boasts a strong faculty team, consisting of 21 full-time teachers. Among them, 81% hold senior professional titles, and 38% hold doctoral degrees. All professors teach undergraduate courses. Additionally, the department regularly engages teachers with backgrounds in digital intelligence technology to offer courses on emerging technologies, and frequently invites industry experts such as senior financial executives and key professionals from accounting firms to serve as part-time instructors, delivering cutting-edge thematic lectures and facilitating professional exchange.
Through a systematic curriculum, students concurrently master the core theories and skills of accounting, financial management, and auditing, alongside comprehensive language competencies in English language and literature, advanced translation, cross-cultural communication, and business English. The core curriculum features several bilingual and fully English-taught professional courses, achieving deep integration of professional knowledge and international communication skills. Graduates are proficient in using English to engage in accounting, auditing, and financial management within the international business environment. They are well-qualified for roles in multinational corporations, international accounting firms, and financial institutions, possessing significant global competitive advantages.
