The Business Administration program is a long-established and distinguished major within the School of Management at our university, as well as a flagship program of Wuhan Institute of Technology. In 2002, it was granted the first Master of Management degree-awarding authority in the School of Management, encompassing two master's degree programs: Enterprise Management and Technical Economics. In 2011, the program further obtained the authority to confer the Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree.
In student development, our Business Administration program vigorously fosters an innovative spirit and equips students with fundamental knowledge and practical skills in economics, management, and related fields. It emphasizes professional expertise in human resource management, particularly in the direction of digital and intelligent talent management. Graduates are prepared for careers in government departments, enterprises, public institutions, and higher education institutions, engaging in management, consulting, and especially human resource management roles.
Against the backdrop of the current digital and intelligent era, our Business Administration program also focuses on cultivating students' ability to effectively utilize digital and intelligent tools, methods, and technologies. It aims to equip them with the necessary knowledge and skills for digital and intelligent management across various areas such as talent recruitment, selection, training and development, performance appraisal, and compensation incentives. In student development, the program places particular emphasis on "a solid foundation, broad competencies, practical experience, and strong application."
Graduates of the Business Administration program find employment in diverse sectors including finance and investment banking, leading consulting firms, major technology companies (such as Tencent and ByteDance), and advanced manufacturing industries. They are well-qualified for positions such as human resource management, operations management, marketing management, production management, statistical analysis, entrepreneurship, as well as roles in the civil service, selected graduate recruitment programs for government cadres, and teaching.
