To deepen teacher-student affection and stimulate youthful vitality, on May 29, the School of Management’s “Teacher-Student Friendship, Inspiring Youth” FLY CUP Badminton Tournament kicked off passionately in the Badminton Hall. 32 teachers and graduating students of the School gathered at the arena to meet friends through the ball and display their sports demeanor together.

At the beginning of the competition, Zuo Hui, Secretary of the Party Committee of the School, delivered a speech. She proposed: This graduate badminton tournament is not only a contest of skills but also a vivid practice of the School in fulfilling the fundamental task of “Fostering Virtue Through Education” and implementing the educational philosophy of “Three-Wide Education” (comprehensive education). She hoped that teachers and students would break through themselves and unite and cooperate on the field, empowering the cultural construction of the School with the spirit of sports. At the same time, she put forward three expectations for the graduates: First, cultivate deep patriotic feelings, keep in mind the “Nation’s Great Interests” (Guo Zhi Da Zhe), and realize the value of life in serving the society and contributing to the people; Second, maintain the spirit of striving and forging ahead forever, transforming the courage to overcome difficulties on the field into the driving force for entrepreneurship; Third, always cherish the affection for the alma mater, remembering that the alma mater is your most solid backing no matter how far you go or how high you fly.

Luo Qiong read out the competition rules, clarifying that the event upholds the principle of “Fair Competition, Friendship First,” encouraging players to compete with high standards and good style.

The warm-up session before the match quickly ignited the atmosphere of the scene. Teachers and students danced together to the badminton version of “Subject Three,” and the leaping figures prepared well for the upcoming fierce competition.

All participating teachers and students launched the duel in the form of mixed doubles. On the field, the teacher team controlled the situation with rich experience and tacit cooperation, showing a mature technical system with precise landing judgment and steady baseline smashes; the student team demonstrated youthful vitality with agile running and sharp smashes, decisive interceptions at the net, and strenuous saves in the backcourt.

After multiple rounds of fierce competition, teachers Zhang Chunyi and Zhang Xiang from the School bravely won the championship; teachers Wan Wenjun and Chang Aimin won the runner-up; students Xu Jiaqi and Wang Jingxuan won the third place. School leaders presented awards to the winning players.

The successful holding of this badminton tournament not only provided a platform for teachers and students to strengthen their bodies and exchange skills but also used sports as a medium to deepen communication and trust between teachers and students, injecting new momentum into the School's construction of a “Harmonious, Vital, and Progressive” cultural atmosphere. In the future, the School of Management will continue to use a series of cultural and sports activities as a bond to deepen the construction of the “Teacher-Student Community,” making the School of Management a spiritual home and a stage for dream-chasing where teachers and students grow together.
