On the afternoon of October 15, a delegation including Dean of the School of Management Yan Huafei, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee Luo Qiong, Vice Dean Zhang Zongxiang, and Assistant to the Dean Wan Qing visited the School of Economics and Management at China University of Geosciences (Wuhan) for a survey. The two sides carried out symposium exchanges centering on the high-level formulation of the “15th Five-Year Plan” and promoting the high-quality development of the School.
Yang Changrui, Secretary of the Party Committee of the School of Economics and Management at China University of Geosciences (Wuhan), Dean Yu Shiwei, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee Li Jiliang, Vice Dean Chi Maomao, and Professor Hou Jundong warmly received the delegation and participated in the exchange.
At the symposium, Dean Yan Huafei expressed sincere gratitude to Dean Yu Shiwei for the support and help provided to our School’s development during his temporary assignment (hanging post) at our university, and introduced the basic situation of discipline and major development of our School during the “14th Five-Year Plan” period and the purpose of this survey. Secretary Yang Changrui introduced the development history and educational achievements of the School of Economics and Management at China University of Geosciences (Wuhan), focusing on sharing the explorations and results in Party building guidance, laboratory construction, and innovation in talent training models.
Dean Yu Shiwei shared the reform measures for year-end performance allocation, introducing in detail how the School stimulates the enthusiasm of teachers for teaching and research through a scientific and reasonable performance evaluation system. The two sides also conducted in-depth exchanges on topics such as scientific research team construction, undergraduate talent training, professional master's education management, and case development incentives.
Before the symposium, accompanied by Dean Yu Shiwei, Dean Yan Huafei and his delegation visited the School's laboratories, archives, smart classrooms, and cultural corridor. This survey not only deepened the understanding and cooperation between the two universities but also provided valuable experience and inspiration for our School to compile the “15th Five-Year” development plan and deepen internal governance reform.
